Responsibilities

You will work as part of an integrated Agile team responsible for designing and delivering an innovative platform-based technology that allows delivery of adaptive customer focused solutions to be developed in a fraction of the normal lifecycle.

• Developing both new products, modules or features and extending existing ones in line with the provided specifications
• Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
• Enhance best practice development principles including code control and peer review with Visual Studio 2019.
• Writing code that adheres to the team’s coding best practices and patterns, ensuring your code can be easily understood and extended by the others
• Diagnosing and rectifying defects in your code and the code of the others
• Ensuring you keep issues up to date in TFS/DevOps
• Source control using the git-flow process and merging between branches
• Participating in the project Scrum sessions
• Engage in regular development team review sessions where you can provide feedback and suggestions on processes
• Participating in code reviews within the team
• Researching new techniques and technologies

Skills and Requirements

To be the right candidate for this role, it is expected that you will have the following experience and skills:

• Experience designing and developing enterprise grade software
• C# and object-orientated programming.
• 8+ years of experience developing .NET Web applications (.Net Core) in a commercial environment
• Rest APIs Architecture, Microservices
• MVC, Razor
• SOLID/DDD principals
• MS SQL Server and any other RDBMS/NoSQL
• GraphQL
• An ability to understand, design and develop abstract concepts that are driven from real use cases
• An ability to write clear, simple, and human-readable code
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Education to the level of a bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in a scientific field, or equivalent

Other desirable skills that would be of benefit include:

• Experience using TypeScript and responsive web design
• Experience in complex Single Page application development
• Able to work with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall projects
• Source control using SVN and issue tracking using TFS
• An ability to understand and interpret complex business systems
• Development of Data Platforms, e-commerce, CMS and ERP solutions
• Requirements gathering and specification documentation
• Solution architecture design and understanding
