September 29th marks the world’s biggest coffee morning, organised by Macmillan cancer support. The Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Our team at Data Clarity have been busy getting involved and baking cakes to raise money for this great cause. In one morning our team raised £61 for Macmillan. Our bakers were asked to create their favourite cakes and delivered a wide range which included a sticky toffee pudding, pavlova, banana & Nutella bread cake, a chocolate fudge cake and cookies. The competition was fierce but we are proud to announce that our star baker was none other than our Business Support Manager, Darren Gent. Well done, Darren!
Last year alone, Macmillan raised £29.5 million and are hoping to raise even more this year. This great cause is dedicated to supporting the 2.5 million people currently living with cancer in the UK. The money Macmillan raises, as well as the countless fundraisers around the country, will go towards medical, emotional, practical and financial support for patients and their families, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.
