Based in Nottingham, Training For Business specialise in providing government-funded apprenticeships in business-driven qualifications that are designed to help young people develop skills and knowledge for their chosen career. Qualifications are offered in business administration, customer service, team leading and management.

The company, an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Training Provider, was founded 35 years ago and has two UK-based offices and employs sixteen people.

Data Problem

As a people business, it was becoming increasingly time consuming to continue to record employee time sheet and business expenses using a paper-based system. The time had come to improve efficiency by implementing an online, real-time solution that would enable employees to record time and submit expense claims on-line wherever they could access a Wi-Fi connection.

There were some concerns regarding how employees would embrace a new way of working. Therefore, the solution had to be easy to use, have a good range of functionality, be accessible online, and have the ability to be mobile and in ‘real-time.’
